A great general idea from Bill Kearney. The idea being you get them hit-and-run style instead of chaining them to the desk and beating them into submission.

I hate it when you have to fill in a lot of fields (more than 2) to run a piece of software or even access a site, anything that might reduce that needs to be looked at. There should be enough in my public FOAF profile for them to do their marketing stats, if they want any more then they should ask my (software) agent, who may be able to help directly, if not it can file the request for me to look at, at my convenience…

Not altogether sure about how responsive people would be with screensaver part (when my machine's idle, I'm away from the desk), but interesting nevertheless.
