At last this part of the picture is getting some focus. I think it's the keystone of the whole project. Some workable proposals coming up, leaning towards REST and SOAP. Tim Bray has a RESTFul solution, though he amusingly calls it a Web API - as I think that term is generally poorly understood, and anyhow the web predates Roy's dissertation. A little professional rivalry visible there perhaps? Miaow! . Sam's getting some good Whuffie from his SOAP explanations, really could be soap advertising : "I used to be scared of SOAP…" ( here).

The Blogger proposals are SOAP-based, which is a reassuring step up, seeing as how XML-RPC seems to be worse than anyone imagined.
