For some strange reason I was thinking of the Trabant, the classic East German car with a unique style. So I wondered if there was a computer equivalent. Best I could find was the KC 85/4. It's a Z80 clone based thing (1.77 MHz) from 1988. It seems to have appeared just on the cusp of the cassette tape to floppy drive changeover, as although it can use a MicroDOS (?) it has an OS called "CAOS 4.2 (Cassette Aided Operating System)", (along with the obligatory integrated Basic interpreter).
