I left a comment on Adam Bosworth's post suggesting that cultural / process issues are as much hurdles as technical ones.
I think the same can be said about the use of RDF in the enterprise: the organizational cultures and processes expect certain data management architectures (e.g., app server - RDBMS), and design and manage accordingly.
Smaller scale uses (e.g., workgroup) and innovative (startup) companies are, or can be, in a totally different position, of course. And, Mysql also shows how a non-enterprise software can start to marry itself into enterprise cultures.
