Blog Hosting stats
The
ebiquity
folks have used Technorati to derive an estimate of the proportions
of blog host use, and the "impact", average number of inlinks per
blog.
The colour code on the hosting chart is a little hard to
read, but it looks like Blogger have a 1/2 share, followed by
TypePad and blog.com (?!) each with about 1/6, the rest being about
another 1/6. (It's done on URLs, so self-hosted/self-named blogs
don't figure).
Hosting impact is quite interesting - radio.weblogs isn't far
behind TypePad, despite only having a small slice of the hosting
pie. My guess is that's the influence of the early bloggers using
Radio who got a head start onto the A-list.
