Good (and not so good) pop years@en

While looking for Timelinable datasources, I ran into this: Date Engine - gives you the UK charts Number One records every year for any given date. I'm afraid I find pop trivia very distracting. So for my birthday over the years I've chosen:

Top 3 singles

  • 1999 On your 35th birthday Fatboy Slim - "Praise You"

    - I'm a bit tired of all the other FBS singles, this one I didn't even like at first
  • 1964 On your birthdate the No. 1 single was The Dave Clark 5 - "Glad All Over

    - cheery classic
  • 1975 On your 11th birthday Status Quo - "Down Down"

    - I've not been what you'd call a Quo fan since I was about 11, but still like this one

Bottom 3 singles

  • 1972 On your 8th birthday The New Seekers - "I'd Like To Teach The World To Sing"

    - rots your teeth
  • 1973 On your 9th birthday Little Jimmy Osmond - "Long Haired Lover From Liverpool"

    - rots your mind
  • 2000 On your 36th birthday Westlife - "I Have A Dream / Seasons In The Sun"

    - a cover of one of the worst songs ever recorded/ the worst song ever recorded.

    - rots your soul.

Top Album

  • 1969 On your 5th birthday Beatles - "The Beatles (The White Album)"

    - I'm not really a Beatles fan, but there are some beauts on this
Bottom Album

  • 1967 On your 3rd birthday Original Soundtrack - "The Sound Of Music"

    - once when I babysat a friend's apparently delightful daughter, she played this (and mimed) continuously for about 8 hours. Hell holds no fears.
