Windows Vista to use XMP@en

For several years now, images created with Adobe's tools have contained embedded metadata in the XMP format. XMP is based on RDF/XML.

Now it's been announced that the Windows Vista Photo Gallery will also use XMP as its preferred metadata format, again embedding the stuff in the images. So next time someone asks where to find RDF, there's yet another place on the list (IBM, Sun, WebMethods, Oracle, Firefox, Opera...)

Hmm, Norm Walsh's jpegrdf came up recently, effectively a request for EXIF file reading. I guess a check to make sure it also supports XMP properly should also go on the list.
