Atom Publishing Protocol, latest spec draft
APP-12,
will be proposed for last call,
apparently.
There's another little speclet draft from atompub to review too:
The
application/atom+xml Type Parameter. Basically (via
James) :
Identifying Atom Entry Documents:
application/atom+xml;type=entry
Identifying Atom Feed Documents:
application/atom+xml
or
application/atom+xml;type=feed
Interesting that they've run into a problem that's been around RDF forever. I haven't a clue whether this is useful for semantic doc typing generally, but in this specific case it's made a lot easier thanks to the format spec - the target MUST have a root XML element of atom:entry/atom:feed respectively.

Looking into OpenID has been on my todo list for a good while
now. It sounded like something I should be using, but skimming the
docs just got me confused. But now there's a helpful user-oriented
screencast
from Emre Sokullu and an excellent little practical/publisher's
intro from Sam Ruby:
OpenID
for non-SuperUsers.
Murky buckets.
