  • In Screencasting Tips Jon Udell has a nice example of the difference between showing and telling:

So, you find a stick about yea long, and strip off the bark so it’s sticky, and poke it into the hole, and presto, it comes up bristling with yummy ants.

  • Domain-specific SPARQL? Facebook now has a query facility based on a cut-down SQL-like language, results in XML or for the Facebook PHP client, whatever that is. There's quite a nice demo console. ( Side question - where are the Linked Data RDF tools on the Programmable Web?).
  • Another facet of the elephant that could use addressing: ERH (coming from an XML standpoint) reckons 2007 is make-or-break year for the Semantic Web; there's an intelligent thread on the rest-discuss list about The XML Semantic Web.
