The thesis of this Daring Fireball post seems to be that the lack of copy & paste on the iPhone is a good thing. My first thought was that turning a flaw into a feature in this way is fanboy nonsense - kind of " it does much less than the competition, so you'll have more time for your children!".
But the idea is interesting, if data is transparently shareable between apps then there's no need for copy & paste, so forcing a change in user behaviour might be a Good Thing in the long run. This approach to shareable data might just be relevant to semweb app design...@en
